Spanish La Liga club Celta de Vigo have announced a new four-year kit deal with Adidas that will see the German manufacturer design kits for the Galician outfit beginning the 2013-14 season, replacing current Chinese brand Li-Ning. However the team will continue to wear gear from current technical sponsor Li-Ning in La Liga until the end of the 12/13 season, Celta has launched a special commemorative jersey to mark its return to wearing adidas gear for the first time since 1986 (with adidas over 25 years). Celta Vigo new Adidas specifically for the club’s Copa del Rey Round of 16 Second leg meeting with Real Madrid on January 9th, 2013 at Stadium Santiago Bernabeu.
The shirt has a red base colour, with a white collar extending in the form of a V to the chest, white Adidas trademark stripes and white sleeve hems. As always, the sponsor will be on the jersey Citroen main with Estrella Galicia is featuring on the back. The special shirt includes polyester interlock sports Formotion fit adidas-registered technology that makes the shirt fit your body to provide greater freedom of movement and comfort during exercise-ventilation and ClimaCool technology, which keeps the athlete cool and dry in full effort. The kit is completed with black short and sock of the same color as the jersey.
