From 2002 through 2005 season, ASCIC still the club kits supplier. New typograhy design also was worn for the players kit. 2001–02 relegation brought Lecce in Serie B for an only one season: Delio Rossi's team was came at third place, getting an immediate promotion, than continously finished the season in 10th position in the Serie A table. In other competitions, Lecce reached the quarter finals of the Coppa Italia. The club aces during these season Javier Chevantón was the top scorer for Lecce.
